Thorough caring knowledgeable doctor, takes time to explain and prepare and present care plan. Highly professional. Leaves patient comfortable.

Dr. Acker saw me when I had been admitted to Mather Hospital in May 2020. He was very professional, caring and gentle. He also explained the entire procedure he was going to perform on me in great detail. He informed me this procedure may be a little uncomfortable, which usually means some degree of pain. However, he performed the procedure, talking me through it step by step, and I felt NO pain at all. I also went to his office 3 days after being discharged from the hospital and I find Dr. Acker to be a very through, caring, doctor that knows what he is doing and does it very well.

My experience from start to finish was a disaster. First time, I saw him for 10 minutes and he spoke over me and didn’t listen to my concerns, did not explain anything at all, spoke way to fast and just raddled off different medications at me, within seconds, when I was trying to remember the antibiotics I was in months ago, after telling him multiple times I have memory issues. He asked if I was experiencing something, when I said yes after another medical issue it started and he picked apart my sentence 3 times, which I was pretty clear about, he just dismissed it and told me to see my neurologist about it, pretty sure my neurologist can’t fix an ent issue, which is MAYBE why I was there. Also prescribed meds without explaining why. Flipped around the timeline I gave because he wasn’t listening to me. Won’t be returning to this practice, especially for a first time visit. I waited weeks for this appointment after months of discomfort and now I will be looking for a different doctor.

I did not have an appointment for my problem, hearing aid dome in my ear, however the doctor fit me in. He was pleasant and friendly. He removed the dome with ease.

Husband has unusual ear ailment-laceration in ear canal followed by pressure, & some hearing loss upon testing. Have found Dr. Acker to not only be professional and knowledgeable but a kind doctor. Dr. Acker listens patiently to my husbands complaints, never rushes him, and works with us to solve the problem. He offers options, and explains age related issues clearly. Also note that after a CT Scan Dr. Acker called my husband at home, discussed the results with him and planned with us how to proceed. Dr. Acker raises the bar for mutual respect between doctor and patient, we highly recommend him.

Dr Acker is always very polite and professional. He explains everything I need to know and always answers any questions I have. I had vertigo very bad and he helped me to get rid of it at the time. And if it comes back I know what to do at home. I would recommend Dr Acker in a heartbeat.

After 2 weeks of feeling like I had something stuck in my throat and seeing a local doctor who told me nothing was wrong , I made an appointment with Dr Acker. Within 2 minutes he pulled a splinter out of my throat and I instantly felt relief.

Dr. Aker was thorough and caring. I immediately got the sense that he was there for me. I was extremely impressed that when I called the office on two separate occasions to speak with him, he called back within a half hour and allayred my concerns.

Dr. Acker is a very caring doctor that I highly recommend. He takes his time to explain what is going on and gives few options how to proceed. He is a very honest and don't give any BSs. He doesn't push you with any unnecessary procedures or testings that will affect your wallet. He listens to you and greets you as if you were one of his family members. If you are looking for one and one attention and answers your concerns and returns your phone calls right away, Dr. Acker would be the one.

Horrible doctor that doesn't properly examine you. He uses your expensive exam time for his doctor dictation time . During my exam he sat on his computer 98% of the time, processing me. Maybe if this doctor wasn't allowed to do his doctor report during exam time , he might actually have time to clinically exam you. Don't waste your time or money on this guy who belittles you and doesn't give you eye contact.
